Introduction to Booking

The Booking core allows the DB Schenker customers to place booking requests (pickup request) online via the DB Schenker | connect dashboard using a widget, or via one of the inbound interfaces to DB Schenker | connect dashboard. Customers can create bookings for all transport modes, i.e. Air, Ocean (FCL, LCL), Land (international, domestic) and Parcel (selected countries only).

The booking requests that are created in the Booking core are forwarded to the DB Schenker branch office that is responsible for this respective booking request.

The Booking core receives status updates to provide you with full visibility on the booking status of your bookings via the "My Shipments" widget.

 

There are two widgets available in the dashboard that are needed to use Booking:

• The Booking widgets is used to create bookings with or without templates.

  

   

• The My Shipments widget allows you to see the booking status of your bookings.
