Introduction to Pricing

The Pricing eService allows users to request booking costs. These can either be non-binding price indications, or they can be binding price quotations.

• Price indications are generated automatically from several data bases for Land tradelanes where this data is available. The following systems are providing pricing rates: CIEL (for all countries using CIEL), Norway domestic, Compass. The prices shown serve as an indication to the customer and do not allow users to create a booking from it.
• Binding price quotations are manually created by the respective Schenker branch. Assignment of the quotation request to the branch is done automatically based on Postal Code routing or fixed branch assignment. The responsible Schenker user will create a binding price-quotation and upload it to the Pricing eService. The customer can accept the price and create a booking from the request during the validity period.
